If you are looking to have no tan lines, this is your beach. While not a state approved nude beach, it has become a clothing optional beach. This beach is approximately 1/8th of a mile and has nice soft sand with minimal shade on the beach.
This is a laid back, anything goes type of beach. It is a clean with no lifeguards on duty and limited on room. This beach is crowded during peak hours and has great views of Molokini and KahooLawe Island. The beach entering the water has a nice slow gradation which makes it perfect to enter the ocean.
1) Park at the first entrance at Big Beach Makena State Park. 2) Walk to the beach and follow the trail to the right. 3) Walk up the lava rock path and down the other side and you will arrive at little beach.
No fires are allowed; use a small grill or hibachi in the park areas and keep them off the beach. Hot coals hidden in the sand can smolder for hours and creating a real danger to barefoot beachgoers the next day.
